Bar Manager – 5* Hotel Kerry

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our luxury hotel’s bar, ensuring exceptional service standards and a memorable guest experience. You will lead a team of bartenders and bar staff, manage inventory and supplies, and work closely with other departments to maintain the hotel’s high standards of quality and service.

Free Accommodation is provided as part of this role.

The Role Requirements:

• Oversee all bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area at all times.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
• Deliver outstanding guest service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing guest concerns promptly.
• Develop and maintain relationships with guests, ensuring personalized service and repeat business, while always maintaining a professional distance.
• Design, update and up sell bar menus, including maintaining a strong focus on staple cocktails, wines, and other beverages, in line with current trends, local products and guest preferences.
• Ensure high-quality beverage preparation and presentation.
• Oversee the ordering and inventory of bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, glassware, and garnishes.
• Manage labour costs effectively. Recruit, train, and manage bar staff, including bartenders and servers. 

The Candidates Requirements:

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in bar operations, inventory management, and financial controls.
• Creative and innovative with a keen eye for detail in beverage presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• English fluency a must, both written and oral with a certificate and/or qualification held.
• Exceptional customer service orientation with a passion for hospitality.
• Professional appearance and demeanour.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
