Broadline Group are looking for Healthcare Agency Chefs throughout Galway, Sligo, Roscommon, Mayo, Leitrim, Donegal and Monaghan locations.

Suitable Chef must hold a Professional Cookery qualification at QQI Level 6 (or equivalent) and have at least one year’s relevant experience in a hospital, nursing home or high-volume catering environment. We have ongoing Chef positions in HSE units including some of the largest Healthcare settings, Hospitals and Nursing Homes throughout Connacht.

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum one year experience in hospital, nursing home, or high-volume catering environment within the last five years.

• QQI Level 6 Professional Cookery qualification (or equivalent recognised qualification).

• Excellent English both written and verbal with the ability to adapt to healthcare catering environments.
• Minimum of three working references covering five years of employment history.
• Candidates must hold a valid work permit to work in Ireland with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals in line with healthcare dietary requirements.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, HACCP and kitchen safety.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment is operated and maintained safely in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
• Assist with menu planning, food preparation, stock control and food presentation.
• Work effectively as part of the catering team while delivering an excellent service to patients, residents and staff.

What We Offer

• Excellent rates of pay in accordance with the HSE Salary Scale €20.88 per hour plus premium Sunday rates.

• HACCP Level 2, Manual Handling, and HSEland training.
• Experience in working in different healthcare units.
