Trade Counter Sales

Our client in Dublin 22 is actively seeking an experience Trade Counter Salesperson to join their team. The Trade Counter Salesperson will be responsible for greeting customers in the premise, assisting in their needs, upselling products, quotations and payment taking. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with customers, has good technical product knowledge from an engineering or electrical background, and is comfortable working in a busy trade counter environment.

Key Responsibilities

• The Trade Counter Salesperson will serve customers at the trade counter and provide a professional, friendly service.
• Deal with customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Process sales orders, quotations, and customer enquiries accurately.
• Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products or alternatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Assist customers with product selection and technical queries.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain product information, availability, and pricing.
• Follow up on quotations and outstanding customer enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records using the company’s internal sales/ERP system.
• Work closely with the external sales and warehouse teams to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently.

Candidate Requirements

• The Trade Counter Salesperson will have previous experience in internal sales, trade counter sales, or a customer-facing sales role.
• Experience working within an engineering, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or technical product environment.
• Good understanding of trade/industrial customers and their requirements.
• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products.
• Good computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office and/or an ERP sales system.

Hours: 08:30 – 16:00
