Head Chef – Galway Full Time

Job Description

This is a key leadership role contributing to the daily operations of a high-volume kitchen delivering consistently high culinary standards.

This state of the art facility has multiple modern kitchens & the ability to cater for up to 800 guests

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of kitchen management, from menu planning to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment while also possessing the creativity and organisational skills to deliver, exceptional catering for a range of events.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Staying up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
• Oversee special hospitability events, corporate events and where necessary offer culinary instruction and demonstrate techniques
• Dealing with suppliers and ensuring quality goods
• Managing the inventory and ordering stock as needed
• Manage stock rotation
• Forecast supply needs and estimate costs
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and organising servicing/repairs
• Developing new menus and dishes to attract more clientele
• Ensuring customers receive excellent service
• Implement and manage HACCP training
• Working with budgets and targets
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Manage and lead the kitchen team
• Rostering
• Maximize the productivity of the kitchen staff
• Collaborate with the Management Team
• Recruitment
