We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to lead the kitchen team at a busy hospitality venue in Kildare. This is a daytime role, offering a fantastic work-life balance for a chef with strong catering or banqueting experience.
Salary: €42,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and service.
Plan, prepare, and execute menus for daytime services, including corporate events and banquets.
Lead and train the kitchen team, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering in line with budgetary targets.
Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
Collaborate with the management team to create seasonal menus and bespoke catering options.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally with catering or banqueting experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for delivering high-quality, fresh, and innovative dishes.
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including cost control and stock management.
Up-to-date knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
