Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at our bustling Gastro bar. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in leading our kitchen operations, ensuring high culinary standards and exceptional guest experiences. This role requires creativity, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-quality food in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative and appealing menu items that align with our Gastro bar concept.
Kitchen Management: Oversee daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning procedures. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. Assist in training new team members and monitoring performance.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections and tasting sessions to uphold consistency.
Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste. Monitor costs and maintain budgetary guidelines.
Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing laws. Uphold kitchen hygiene practices and cleanliness standards.
Event Coordination: Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events, private parties, and themed nights.
