Quality Assurance Technician – Night Shift

Our client in the FMCG Industry, who is based in North County Dublin, are actively seeking an experience Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. The Quality Assurance Technician will work within the Quality Team to ensure that day to day production operations is conducted in a quality focused way. This will involve meeting deadlines and ensuring both Food Safety and Customer Quality standards are maintained.

Role Requirements:

• The Quality Assurance Technician will be a proactive member of the Quality Assurance Team to ensure all products produced comply with all Food safety quality and legislative requirements.
• Work closely with Shift Supervisors and production teams to ensure the preparation, portioning and packing of food products consistently meet established quality standards and customer specifications.
• Plan, conduct and monitor the testing and inspection of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and food safety requirements.
• Ensure all production and quality documentation is completed accurately, maintained appropriately and complies with relevant food safety standards, customer requirements and legislation.
• Carry out calibration checks and verification of factory equipment, including temperature probes, data loggers, weighing scales and other monitoring equipment.
• Conduct validation and verification activities for processes critical to product safety, including allergen validation, cleaning validation, CIP validation, sanitiser tunnel validation and species validation.
• Conduct positive release checks prior to product release, including product tasting, strip analysis, gas level checks, weight and temperature verification, and confirmation of full compliance with product specifications.

Candidate Requirement:

• The Quality Assurance Technician will have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role.
• A third level qualification in Food Science is a distinct advantage.
• Candidates must have their own transport for this role.
• Ability to work a five over seven, night shift pattern.

Salary €38k – €40k
